WRITE, LAUGH, DREAM FOR BLACK GIRLS

LAB DESCRIPTION:

“To be seen and not heard,” is a statement that many of us are familiar with. It has either been mouthed audibly or shown to us through the actions of adults that are shaping us early on to believe that our voices don’t matter. So much of our conflict as Black girls, and women, is simply accepting that they do.

In this Love & Learning Lab: Write, Laugh, Dream for Black Girls, we’ll look at writing as a vehicle to help us on our journey to bloom. This exploration will feature writing exercises, video clips, and the review of writing samples. It’s my hope that the Lab will be interactive and that participants would be willing to share. We’ll examine how we can write our way into self-acceptance, joy, and even manifesting our wildest dreams.

Deadline to Enroll: Wednesday, February 17, 2021
