LIBERATORY LIVING: DECOLONIZING BLACK PARENTING
A LOVE & LEARNING LAB FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS OF BLACK GIRLS:
This Love & Learning Lab is designed to expose parents & caregivers of Black girls to tools and support to help them move away from oppressive parenting practices so that they can adopt a more liberatory, love-centered & restorative way of interacting with the Black girls in their lives. Over the course of four weeks, parents & caregivers will be equipped with the tools, skills and support needed to heal their personal traumas in order to transform their current parenting paradigm and shift the way that they are currently showing up for the girls in their lives. Parents will also spend time exploring how they can create an environment that supports their daughters in showing up as their powerful, healed, whole, healthy and unique selves.
LAB INSTRUCTOR:
Domari Dickinson is an unschooling mom of four, a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, and a liberation partner. She provides specialized programs and coaching services that invite parents to identify their oppressive parenting practices while co-creating spaces where they can discuss how to implement more liberatory, love-centered practices that are focused on freedom, respect, and autonomy.
