CURL JOY
(A DIY HAIR ACCESSORY LAB)
SUMMER CAMP LAB DESCRIPTION:
“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare" was written by American writer + Feminist Audre Lorde. We too agree with sis because CROWN CARE is self care!
In the Curl Joy for Black Girls Lab we will become acquainted with our kinks, coils, and texture while creating some DIY products. For Black girls, our hair can be our ultimate accessory, so together, we’ll also make some hair charms for our crowns that are sure to make you smile and your hair to glow! Let’s take pride in what naturally belongs to us and the heritage our ancestors passed on to us.
Must be enrolled in camp to participate.
