My name is Cierra Brown, I am 13 years old, and I am the youngest Cover Girl. I live in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania with my family and my dog. In the last couple of years, I have grown to enjoy reading Theological books, writing about marginalized groups, and relaxing at home with my family. I am also a devoted Christian and find peace in the Lord’s plans for me. He is my strength and my refuge and everything I have is because of Him. I also have a 2-year-old Chihuahua named Gala who takes up all my time and attention but I love her dearly. Over the last year or so, I have developed a passion for writing. People underestimate the power of writing. Writing about things you love can help reach millions and provide valuable skills that will be with you for the entire duration of your life. What “For the Love of Black Girls” means to me is that Black girls have a sacred space to be unapologetically them without worries of being stereotyped or judged. It means there is finally a space where it is all about us. Only us. Black women are the blueprint and the future.
